Quentin Tarantino Plans 10th and Final Film

(TrueTrendNews.com) – Famed film director Quentin Tarantino is planning his 10th and final movie—but the storyline originally expected to drive the project has been thrown out.

The filmmaker—who is known for featuring violence, fast-paced dialogue, and cultural references in his movies—is working on his final project, 30 years after his big hit, the 1994 film Pulp Fiction. Reports have circulated with the scoop that, while still working on a final film, Tarantino has abandoned his original plot idea.

Initially, the director had planned to produce a film titled The Movie Critic, which would tell the story of a writer who reviewed movies for an adult magazine. However, that plot is said to have been scrapped, without a clear indication of what route the director will take instead.

The hype behind the project is heightened as it is supposed to be Tarantino’s last film. Over the past three decades, he has directed nine movies. During that time, he has repeatedly stated his plan to only make 10 movies throughout his career. During a 2022 interview, Tarantino said that he has been in the filmmaking business “a long time,” adding that it is “time to wrap up the show.”

At the time, the director emphasized his desire to leave audiences “wanting more” of the entertainment he produces, saying he was trying to combat the feeling of being “an old man out of touch” with the films being produced today.

The Movie Critic, which was set to be his first film since Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was released in 2019, was believed to be somewhat based on Tarantino’s life. According to comments the director made in 2023, the film was going to be set in California in the late 1970s and based on a movie critic whose work was read by Tarantino as a teenager.

The since abandoned script was about a writer “who really lived,” according to Tarantino, but “was never really famous.”
